APV FILE-CUTTING RECEPTION TERMINAL

Relieve peak hours at dealerships

Queue-jumping kiosks  are now part of our everyday lives in many retail environments. Customers intuitively turn to them to obtain information or carry out transactions at points of sale. The logical next step for the 24/7 service initially launched by our client Peugeot was to focus on a local service counter in the form of a queue-cutting terminal. Stellantis has continued with this ‘Self reception’ service, and several of our manufacturer clients are now considering adopting it.

In an innovative move, dealerships, manufacturers and automotive centres are continuing to diversify their customer service offerings. The 24/7 terminal offering, which consists of installing outdoor terminals, is now available as an indoor alternative. We will look at the main benefits of these queue-busting key safes and APV® software in supporting service advisors during busy periods.

Offering your customers an additional service for dropping off and collecting their vehicle keys at a terminal, the main idea behind this queue-cutting terminal is to relieve pressure on reception staff during busy periods and provide customers with a quick and efficient drop-off option for those who wish to use it.

The dedicated queue-cutting reception terminal for automotive after-sales services

A terminal placed near the reception desk.

The queue-cutting terminal is designed for indoor use and aims to improve customer vehicle handling during busy periods. Placed near the CAS counters at reception, it allows customers to be redirected to quick drop-off and pick-up points. It also fulfils its functions by providing spare parts from the store with greater flexibility in terms of collection times.

The main objective of this solution is to reduce waiting times at dealerships and to direct customers who wish to do so to quick drop-off and/or pick-up of their vehicle keys for after-sales services.

It is possible to collect your vehicle keys on Saturdays.

Is your sales showroom open on Saturdays, but your after-sales workshop is closed?

Put your customer's keys in the terminal on Friday evening, and they can pick them up themselves on Saturday using the code they will have received by text message. No pressure for customers who were unable to come on Friday evening before closing time; you can now offer them flexibility when it comes to dropping off and picking up their vehicle keys.

What are the advantages of the queue-jumping terminal solution?

Digitizing your after-sales service is becoming a priority, allowing you to manage your dealership reception more flexibly and also benefit from a complementary tool for your teams. This queue-jumping terminal is installed at our customers' premises, either alone or in addition to our 24/7 APV reception terminal, depending on the point of sale.

Easy installation of the queue-jumping reception terminal.

All you need is an electrical outlet to connect the queue-jumping terminal. The remaining connectivity is managed via 4G/LTE. This prevents exposure to the local network and guarantees de facto cybersecurity against attacks that are increasingly affecting the automotive sector.

All of these after-sales terminal solutions are designed to work with your existing DMS, scheduling, vehicle tour, and e-payment provider. Limiting the impact on your business and application environment, the solution operates completely independently and works with your everyday tools so that its use is transparent for you.
